Marlene Hibbs has been named Honey Badger for various reasons by various people, her drive and passion to complete a goal after setting it is incredible!
Marlene's current goal is as a mental health advocate. Her experiences with eating disorders, ADD, and trauma gave her a first hand look at the Canadian mental health system, and how it treats its patients. She found out quickly even though many of the people working in the system want to assist, they were limited due to policy and bureaucracy, leaving many patients to fall through.
This inspired her to be the change she wanted to see, taking action to the road, Days of Action that is.
Days of Action is a campaign that sees Honey Badger riding a pedal bike from her home of Kamloops, BC, to Ottawa, Ontario. Bringing with her a growing collection of stories shared with her from citizens with similar experiences!
