Brenda.jpg

Brenda has been in the fitness industry for almost 20 years, in a variety of capacities. She’s earned her Bachelor’s Degree in Kinesiology from SFU; she’s a Certified Professional Co-Active Coach (a life coach); has her master’s degree in adult education; and finally, she’s just started pursuing her PhD.

She is also the co-founder of the Personal Training Collective, the organization I am a member of, and that is exposing me to this amazing group of mentors.

Any one struggling with motivation, staying on track, or are dealing with “life stuff” that they need a bit of support with, Brenda’s expertise comes in handy!

Laura.jpg

Laura holds a Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology from SFU, and is a Certified Exercise Physiologist with both the Canadian Society for Exercise Physiology and the American College of Sports Medicine.

Laura’s passion is being a Health Promotion Strategist, and as such, she is up to date with the latest news, science and knowledge. She also teaches personal trainers about the importance of being trauma-aware, staying curious and non-judgmental, and seeing our clients as complex systems.

She’s also helped build many projects from the ground-up, including the BC Physical Activity Line (PAL), a service you can access by calling 811.

Brian-Justin-300x300.jpg

Brian has so many credentials that it’s hard to keep track of them all! Nevertheless, here they are! He is a Certified Exercise Physiologist (CEP), an NSCA Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist, CSEP- Certified Personal Trainer, CHEK Level 1 Practitioner (Corrective Holistic Exercise Kinesiologist) , CHEK Holistic Lifestyle Coach Level 2, Functional Movement Screen Level 1 specialist, Somatic Exercise Coach, and NASM Performance Enhancement and Corrective Exercise Specialist.

Quite the mouthful, hey?

Brian’s superpower is his ability to draw upon pieces of knowledge from his varied background to come up with out-of-the-box corrective exercise strategies for issues that would leave the average health practitioner completely puzzled. Whenever you’ll hear me say things like “hmmm…that’s interesting” or “let me look into that a bit more and get back to you” that’s likely a future chat between me and Brian.

Finally (and perhaps most importantly!) Brian is a huge fan of the Avengers!

Michal is a is functional nutritionist and nutritional consultant working with groups and individuals looking to improve their general well-being. Her primary focus is on gut health, and repairing digestive damage associated with modern lifestyle and conventional dietary recommendation.

She has studied health and nutrition extensively through multiple programs including the Institute of Functional Medicine, the University of Stanford, the University of Colorado and The Institute of Integrative Nutrition.

Many of the nutritional guidance handouts I’ve put together are based on knowledge I’ve gained from her, and others yet I’ve left in their original form so you get her expertise directly.
